Upgrading to MacOS 10.6 Snow Leopard →
I hadn’t actually planned to take two days off work so I’d be off for the day of release of Snow Leopard. It just happened that way. I’d booked the time off in order to spend a little time with…

We now *have* Snow Leopard, and we’re in a place with no Macs to install it on. See, this is why I prefer to have no social life.
#snowleopard installation running for around 10 mins. I’m already reduced to reading a wine bottle and favouriting tweets about macaroni.
I tried entertaining @pigpog_s with a little dance routine. I don’t think I’ll be trying that again.
Time remaining: About 56 minutes. Ur goin the wrong way, #snowleopard
I don’t think I can stand to leave Snowy sitting in a box in my bag. I think I have to start the installation. Wish me luck…
Time remaining: About 45 minutes. #snowleopard
Marks and Spencer El Dueño Shiraz goes well with meaty pasta dishes, grilled steak and MacOS upgrades.
…bong. Rebooting to #snowleopard.
#snowleopard It’s nice to be able to send anything QuickTime opens (even using Perian) to iTunes, without using an external converter.
General impressions of #snowleopard are pretty good so far. No problems, and things generally feel nice and snappy.
…and tweeting from 10.6 #snowleopard
#snowleopard In dock, click-hold is now different from right-click. Right-click for the old menu, click-hold for Expose and a quick menu.

Getting PigPog back to just using AdSense worked nicely. Income was still tiny, but much better than when AdSense was competing with Project Wonderful. I wondered what effect having less of the…
Got my Mighty Mouse replaced at the Apple store. Got the Snow Leopard Family Pack, too.
I think I’m getting a bit OCD about checking for app updates for my iPod Touch. Averaging about three times a day. Is counselling available?
Any UK pen geeks not following @uniball_uk yet? They’re pointing out supermarket bargains, and you’re missing them. Some very cheap deals.
I bought another notebook today. It’s an obsession. Paperblanks Mini, old leather style. Pen -> Paperblanks -> scanner -> Mac -> @evernote
That was one well-travelled pie.
Scanning to Evernote →
Long, long ago, my dad upgraded his flatbed scanner, and gave us his old one. It was a perfectly decent Canon CanoScan N650U – nice and small, and runs entirely from USB, without needing a power…

Almost Quitting Evernote →
I have something of a love/hate relationship with Evernote.
I love what it can do. I love that it can handle so many formats of data, at least when just pasted into a note. I love that there are…
Had to remove two passengers from the car before leaving (a cricket and a snail). Got back to find my parking space taken. By two pigeons.

The toilet cleaner we bought has an orange logo on a black bottle. I don’t think you can get anything more powerful than that.
Just watched Glengarry Glen Ross. Might’ve been good if they’d finished writing it. Felt like the credits rolled half way through. The End.
Low Morale: Creep →
An acoustic version of Radiohead’s Creep, with the most perfect animation.
Love Is: Realising your marriage has outlasted the two jumbo cans of fly spray you bought cheap on your honeymoon. #loveis
I’m just sittin’ here drinkin’. And definitely not messin’ with Smush. I’ve heard that’s bad. You don’t want to open that can of whup-ass.
Our local Tesco has a Bob the Builder kids’ ride. It’s broken, and has been for weeks. I guess the answer turned out to be “No”.
Aparantly, endlessly telling everyone else what Twitter isn’t for, is what Twitter is for.
Project Wonderful and AdSense →
After a week of testing, I’ve removed the small Project Wonderful boxes from the top left. They never brought in more than a few cents, but more important was the effect they had on AdSense. The…

iTunes Store Removes Friction →
If software is cheap enough, there’s very little reason not to buy it, if it’s useful to you. The main thing that puts me off at that point isn’t spending the money. It’s the time and effort taken…
